This document describes what data is processed when you use the “RageTun” program and the ragetun.com website, and confirms our approach: the service is built not to collect personal data and to operate without identifying users.

RageTun does not require creating an account and does not collect data needed to identify a user; the licence relies on technical identifiers. Purchasing and using the Program require no registration, name, e-mail, phone number, or any other data that could identify you. We do not request or store such data, do not build a user profile, and do not use analytics, advertising trackers, or web-statistics systems. For this reason we proceed on the basis that no processing of personal data (within the meaning of Russian Federal Law 152-FZ) takes place.
RageTun is a client program for traffic routing. Connections (servers, corporate VPN profiles) are configured by the User with their own data; the service provides no access to any resources. All configurations, access keys, and passwords are stored locally on the User’s device in secure storage, are never transmitted anywhere, and are inaccessible to the Owner. The Program does not analyse, intercept, or store the contents of network traffic — it works only with routes, not with the data being transmitted.
4.1. Device identifier (HWID) — an irreversible hash of the hardware configuration. It contains no name, address, or serial numbers and cannot by itself establish a person’s identity. On the server it is stored only in keyed-hash (HMAC) form. It is used solely for technical purposes: to bind a licence to a device and to prevent trial-period abuse. It cannot identify a person either directly or indirectly: identification would only be possible in combination with other information about an individual (name, contacts, accounts, payment details) — and the service neither collects nor stores any such information.
4.2. IP address — not stored. To protect against automated abuse (request-rate limiting) only the address’s subnet is used (without the final segment), and only temporarily. The full IP address is not recorded or stored anywhere. A subnet merely designates a provider network segment covering many subscribers and, absent any other information about an individual, cannot identify a specific person.
4.3. Cookies — only strictly necessary technical cookies (for example, remembering the selected language). There are no tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
4.4. Payment — processed by the payment service ЮKassa (ООО «ЮMoney»); the payer’s data (card, name, etc.) is collected and processed by the payment service itself as an independent operator. We receive only the operation number and the fact of payment — a person cannot be identified from these. The fiscal receipt is issued by the payment service. The operation number is kept for a limited period and deleted automatically (section 7).
4.5. Support requests. If you contact us by e-mail or Telegram, we see what you send — solely in order to reply. This data is not otherwise collected or used. To avoid using a foreign messenger, write to support@ragetun.com.
Because no identifying data is collected, no personal data (within the meaning of 152-FZ) is processed — and therefore neither separate consent to processing nor notification of the authorised body is required. The data-localisation requirement (art. 18(5) of 152-FZ) applies only to personal data and, for the same reason, does not apply to the technical data processed. Under the law, identification only becomes possible when technical values are combined with other information about a person; the service is designed so that no such combination exists at any stage of its operation.
We proceed on the basis that we do not process personal data. If you nonetheless believe that any technical data we handle relates to your personal data, write to support@ragetun.com — we will review your request and ensure the rights provided by law: access to information about the processing, rectification, deletion, and appeal to the authorised body or a court.
Licence and activation records are kept for the licence term and up to 3 years afterwards (for support); request-rate-limiting data — temporarily, within the technically necessary window. The payment service's operation number is kept for no more than 30 days from the payment date (the window for key delivery, recovery and refunds) and is then deleted automatically. The technical event log is purged automatically after 90 days. Once the purposes are achieved, data is deleted without any request from the user.
